
I purchased a stand from Canadian Tire for this recipe, well worth the few dollars!
Rub:
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tbsp cayenne pepper
- 2 tbsp paprika
- 2 tsp dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/2 can of beer
Preheat your grill to 375 degrees F. Mix all dry ingredients. Place chicken legs down on the beer can. Place in stand or on a grill safe plate. Sprinkle 1 Tbsp of seasoning into the top cavity of the chicken. Rub the remaining seasoning onto the chicken and under the skin. Place the chicken on the grill , close the lid and cook until a internal temperature of 185 degrees F is reached. Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes for a 3 pound bird.
